when the pale, long haired boy was apprehended, feces were found on the floor and his bed and pyjamas were soaked in urine.

Police in London, Ont. say a 10 year old boy has been placed in foster care after an investigation determined that he had been locked in a bedroom in "filthy conditions" for a period of 18 to 24 months.

Both the boy and the couple's 9 year old biological daughter are now in separate foster homes. Police say that there is no evidence at this time that the girl had ever been locked in a room in the house.

The names of the couple have not been released so as to protect the identity of the children.

Jane Fitzgerald, executive director of CAS London and Middlesex, said the boy is not from Canada and only speaks some English. Investigators believe the boy came to the country around the age of six and there is no evidence to suggest that he has ever attended school.
