"Les Misrables" went on to conquer the world, transferring to London's Palace Theatre and opening in New York at the Broadway Theatre in March 1987. The production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International of New York.
Selected members of the Mason County orchestral program will be featured. The students will provide Air Max Ice Blue accompaniment for solo and chorus selections.
choir to present 'Les Mis' at Raceland center
The setting of the musical takes place throughout revolutionary France in the early 1800s. The story begins in Toulon and Digne in 1815, then moves to Montreuil Sur Mer in 1823 and ends in Paris in 1832. The story is based on the novel by Victor Hugo.
The chorale was featured in various locations in a cultural musical exchange concert tour in Italy and Vatican City last summer in addition to concerts performed in Westminster Abby, London, Notre Dame in Paris, The Hague, Chamonix, Esterhazy Palace in Eisenstadt and St. Patrick's and St. John cathedrals in New York City in previous years. Performances throughout the United States include concerts in Chicago, Pittsburgh, New York City, Washington, Williamsburg, Gettysburg and Louisville.
Hunter is president of District 8 of the Kentucky Music Educators Association and has served as music director of Mason County schools for the Air Max Basketball Shoes 2013

Friday to commemorate the opening of the Raceland Worthington Independent School District's new John P. Stephens Cultural Arts and Athletic Complex.
Sarah Wallingford and Erica Weddle are student directors. The program will feature more than 100 Mason County students in a wide range of roles and activities from cast, chorus, orchestra, set and stage crews, production design teams and production staff members.

The concert choir and chorale have presented 10 international concert tours and performed more than 175 concerts in 14 countries, including England, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Slovakia and Canada.
